Planting A Pothos Cutting. You will need a glass jar depending on the length of your pothos cuttings. You are cutting below a node (the part of a plant stem where the leaves grow from).

But as you can see in the picture of my marble queen pothos above i did cut. Take a minute to study your plant before you start chopping. Make sure to get at least two to three nodes with your cutting and then remove the bottom leaves.

Cut the segments so each contains at least two growth nodes, or thick sections on the vine where leaves grow. Put the cuttings in a sunny, warm area to allow them to root. The cut end will be less likely to develop the same problem.
Steps To Propagate Pothos In Water From Cutting.
Simply take a pair of sharp scissors and snip cuttings just like the one above. Remove an inch of the healthy stem and foliage from the rest of the pothos plant. Replace the water about once.
The Plant Will Grow New Roots From The Base Of The Stem, From The Aerial Roots And Leaf Nodes.
Check on the cuttings every couple of days and dump out the old water and replace it with new. Pothos plants are incredibly easy to propagate via stem cutting. Prepare a pot by filling it about halfway with planting soil.
